Regional Management: Americas
Jon Lin joined Equinix in 2009, holding senior positions in Marketing and Corporate Strategy before being appointed as President of the Americas in 2019. In this role he oversees the management, strategy, and growth for Equinix in the Americas.
In his previous role as Vice President, Corporate Development for the Americas, Mr. Lin was responsible for expansions, real estate and metro strategy for the Americas region, where he led two of the largest transactions in the data center industry (Verizon and Infomart totaling $4.5B). He enjoys bringing customers, technology and infrastructure together, and was instrumental in the development of Equinix’s cloud connectivity strategy.
Prior to joining Equinix, Mr. Lin held various roles in the Internet Infrastructure space with Tata Communications and UUNET/Verizon, spanning Strategy, Product, Engineering, Sales Engineering and Professional Services.
Mr. Lin graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 1998, where he studied biology and computer science.
Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas
Arquelle Shaw joined Equinix as Senior Vice President of Americas Sales in 2019. In this role she is responsible for leading sales strategy and growth for Equinix in the Americas.
Arquelle is an accomplished sales leader with extensive technology, operational and organizational leadership experience across global, national and regional markets. She has held leadership roles at Accenture, American Express and AT&T where she led multi-billion dollar sales and customer service organizations responsible for building integrated technology solutions to help clients transform their businesses. Arquelle has a passion for building client-centric, solution-driven sales organizations that help clients to achieve critical business objectives.
In addition to her extensive career experience, Arquelle has participated in sales and leadership programs at Wharton School of Business and USC’s Marshall School of Business.
Managing Director, Equinix Brazil
Mr. Carvalho graduated in Business Administration at the Catholic University of Campinas, and been active in the IT / Telecommunications market since 1999. He joined ALOG in 2005 as Head of Sales and became COO in 2012. In 2013 was been promoted to Country Manager and is currently responsible for the entire operation of Alog Equinix in Brazil and Latin America. Along his career, he has increased his expertise on leading in courses at Kellogg School of Management, Columbia Business School and Haas School of Business.
Managing Director, Equinix Canada
Andrew Eppich joined Equinix in 2014 and is Managing Director for Canada. Andrew started his career with Equinix in advance of our Canadian data centre launch. In addition to building out our Canadian team, Andrew had responsibility for sales in the Northeast part of the USA. Beyond managing Canada and the northeast US territories, Andrew has most recently managed and developed our sales teams in the United Kingdom and Germany.
Prior to joining Equinix, Andrew worked at Hewlett-Packard for 14 years, holding various national leadership roles, including Vice President of Enterprise Group - Partners and Channel, Canada. He is proud of his contributions while at RIGHT TO PLAY where their teams used sport for social development in programs for children and communities living in refugee camps around the world.
Andrew holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University in Canada, majoring in finance with a minor in psychology and has continued his education at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
Managing Director, Equinix Mexico
Amet joined Equinix in 2020 as Managing Director for Mexico. Amet has been instrumental in building the Mexico business, a key leader and 23-year veteran of Alestra/Axtel. Amet played a crucial role in our acquisition and integration strategy and his understanding of Mexico’s market dynamics, combined with his relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers, partners and government institutions, is a tremendous asset to our success.
Prior to joining Equinix, Amet held several roles with Alestra/Axtel, working in both customer care/service and operations/engineering. Earlier in his career, Amet worked for Alestra in several positions including as a Customer Service and Network Operations Manager. He rounded out his time there as a Network Engineering and Operations Director.
Amet holds a B.S. Telecommunications Engineer from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, a master’s degree in Administration and Finance from Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, and an Executive MBA at IPADE Business School. He has also extended his education through leadership courses at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Haas School of Business and MIT Sloan School of Management.
